Page 101 – Bad Cop, Bad Cop
So much for their “good cop, psycho cop” routine. Finally, Jane’s MacGuffin is almost within reach.
Useless Trivia: this is only the second page out of the last 193 pages in which Jane is not visible on screen. For better or worse “I, Mummy” takes place from her point of view.
Can’t wait for the next page?

The heck? Where’d this guy get his hands on the necklace? Something seems fishy here.
Lewis said poop-lady (aka Simza) had a rich buyer wanting the necklace. 😉
apropos of nothing in this episode, i worried about the cops’ apparent habit of deep sixing people in crater lake. i estimated the volume of those cages and looked up the volume of crater lake and neglecting a few complications, if they place them carefully they can dump about 2.5 billion inconvenient people before the cages start to break the surface and get all unsightly. whew!
This starts looking like a well planned conspiracy. Jane will need all her smarts (and ghostly allies) to get the necklace back.
Yes, now would be a good time for Jane to resist her reactionary impulses. We shall have to wait and see. 🙂
You mean the corruption within the police force goes all the way to the top? I thought this was a fantasy story 😛
Sir, this story is based entirely on a foundation of solid scientific predictions of the future. There is no flights of fantasy here.
Contrary to what the plot might imply I am not anti-police, just anti-corruption and abuse of power.
Hmm…. They seem to be playing Good Cop, Bad Cop, or, rather, Smarmy Cop, Bad Cop. I wonder if Jane will fall for it.
Mr. Ghosty put the kibosh on that interrogation tactic.
Oh, good. I’m sure this guy is more reasonable. Now that the threatening, violent one is out of the room, this guys seems calm and relatable. I say we all trust him.
He’s here to help.
