Jane slips into the old dress. While the kids talk Jane wraps her head in rags. She’s not happy about it. TWINS A wolf-guy could beat them. CURLY Or, the Dracula! NIBS Bonks Curly on the head Dummy! Dracula is make-believe. And, they’re the bad guys. CURLY Holds up a comic page showing a mummy strangling a female vampire. Not-uh! They fight mummies. An’ mummies is real! Points at Jane The kids gather around Jane who is now wrapped like a mummy. TWINS Are you a good mummy or a bad ‘un? JANE I’m not like... Oh. Good, I guess. CURLY Holds up an anti-monarchy poster. Yay! You can help us defeat the evil witch Queen!
Is there room for a mummy of neutral orientation? Jane doesn’t seem to fit either of the other options.
The Twins have been reading a bit too much anti-monarchist propiganda. 🙂
Hmm, good point. Jane isn’t exactly chaotic-neutral. She means well, but may not act in everyone’s best interest due to lack of experience and thoughtfulness.
See that stack of paper behind the Twins in the last panel? It’s a whole pile of propaganda posters! 🙂
I approve of the Snow White reference on this page so much. And also the TVtropes reference. And the wolf-man and Dracula reference. Actually, all the references in general, along with basically everything about this page.
😀 Thank you! That’s not really what the queen looks like, but it made sense as propaganda. Jane’s skin is snow white, too. Oh, and there’s violence on this page. Gotta have that, too.
The Twins continue to be wholly unnerving.
Aww, what if she was selling Girl Scout cookies?
I may be more willing to give her a chance, as long as she has some Thin Mints.
There is now, in my local grocery store, an ICE CREAM BAR that tastes EXACTLY like a Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookie (this is also it’s name, helpfully). This is a Very Bad Thing for any diet plans I might have made.
That image of Disney’s Maleficent was truly inspired. I laughed so hard!
So Ariane is a good witch as she raged against the bad witch. She’ll be pleased to hear that, even if she does not like children.
Don’t believe everything you read in propaganda materials. 😉
good to know that there are already horror comics around. And no age restriction yet.
Comic codes are for wusses.
