Hopefully not too traumatic, but I didn’t want to give any spoilers.

hmm. that looks like a severe but possibly survivable amount of blood loss and i don’t see any ripped out guts, so maybe it’s a bit premature to call the morgue.

He’s an ex-doc, a passed physician, bereft of life, taking the big sleep, knocking on heaven’s door, and so forth. Since I obviously don’t know how much blood a body should contain, let’s pretend the rest leaked down into the apartment below. Ewwww!

UPDATE: I just realized my comment above could be interpreted as sarcastic or mean. I honestly don’t know how much blood a dead leaking person has. Thank you for the tip. 😀

Just in case (I’m not a doc (neither ex nor future), I was just with the Red Cross and somewhat interested in the matter. When the heart stops beating, the blood flow stops and bleeding goes down to a trickle and then stops because the blood is clotting. So someone who has a would that would cause ’em to bleed out (by the way, the human body contains up to 6 liters of blood) but is already dead, would not loose all his/her blood though said wound anymore.

By the pile of blood beneath him I can tell that the doc did not die immediately during the attack, but at least several minutes later. This is a lot of blood.
