jane is the picture of aplomb in the last panel. riot? militarized police attacking? missing amulet on the wrong side of the riot? just a minor spot of bother.
who trained these cops? how do they expect their rifles to stay sighted in if they keep using them as bludgeons? if they’re going to hit people in the head, they need to carry saps.
with the contrast with the subdued colors and old newsprint effect, jane/s bandages look extra super white.
Jane is also starting to get a little tired from all her “miracles”. These two cops are definitely not the best trained. I’m not sure they do more good than harm in the big scheme of things.
It’s neat how colors work in context to those around them. If you put something pure white next to Jane, like another browser window, you can see the white on the page is still the tan color of the paper texture.
“Fume the streets?” As in, perfume the streets? That’s so sweet! They’ll replace the Stench of Rebellion with the Sweet Smell of Order in no time!
Ah, I love the smell of Liberty in the morning!
Never bring a gun to a knife fight.
Never bring gum to a kite fight.
Morris would seem an excellent candidate for judgement.
He may indeed 🙂
