That museum is hard core steampunk. And, it really exists!

she might want to charge up or whatever you want to call it first, but i see a real good resurrection subject there. science demands it!
A real “Night At the Museum” huh? Steampunk edition! 😀
Now where is that amulet to make it happen?
Oh right, or a more modern-ish rendition of when a certain wild mage was granted the use of a god’s ability to raise the dead. Said god wanted the human dead to be raised but the wild mage used the contents of a dinosaur museum instead. It’s kinda funny how modern a fantasy setting can be like if it has magic in it.
I’m referencing the book “Emperor Mage”, book 2 of the immortals quartet* By Tamora Pierce
*or was it a trilogy I can’t remember… Hmmm… 1(wild magic, introduces/reintroduces main cast, reacurring characters from a previous series show up and are still main characters, just supporting this time instead of fully leading.) 2(emperor’s mage, listed above)3([into the] Realm of the gods, what it says on the tin more or less),4([immortals war or something] Wraps up the overlying conflict) Ah right it was a quartet.
Does she have time to shepherd her little group through several layers of security before she runs out of energy? Especially since half of her followers don’t want to be anywhere near the palace.
Well, if Jane’s mom gets her message in time she might be able to grant an audience. Fingers crossed.
Naive enough to still believe that the queen has any ability to, and/or interest in, helping her
Wait, you mean queens don’t grant wishes? 🙂
Couldn’t they just have Harriet poop on her shoulder? That seems to be her trademark.
And the Queen may come through. It’s Sherrif Backstab that Jane has to worry about.
I love that first and last panel! You really know how to organize space, Andy. It’s full, but not cluttered. And the colors are lovely.
Thank you, Charlie. I can draw okay when I slow down, but that’s why I went into graphics instead of illustration; no patience for rendering. It’s not as bad now that I’m older.
I guess Jane could have sent Harriet alone to fetch her parents, but they probably don’t speak avian parleyvoo. And that’s a lot of responsibility for one little bird.
The museum is awesome Andy!!!
I wonder how wise is for Jane to separate her feeble team. The Palace might not be as friendly as she thinks…
😀 Jane, wise? Haha. Ahem. Yeah, who knows what will happen. (I do but my lips are sealed.)
I can only imagine how long it took to draw this page. Impressive work, as always!
Thank you. This was one of the longer pages to finish, but a set piece like this needs a grand introduction don’t ya think? Finding this cool museum for reference really saved a lot of erasing and redraws.
