Page 86 – Flightless
And, they galumph off into the sunset upon an undead pterosaur. Thus ends the current chapter.
Jane’s Jabbererwocky is based on Quetzalcoatlus, a giraffe-sized pterosaur appropriately named after Quetzalcoati, the feathered serpent god of Central America. This steampunk pterosaur is a fictional flightless species that’s slightly larger and sturdier.
It gets drawn twice, once for the bones and then again for the ghost skin layer. Depicting this dino is going to be the death of me, but it’s so worth it. Because dinosaur!

Ooor, she could re-animate the Pterosaur. 🙂
This apparition should incite pandemonium in rioter and minion alike. By any estimate it should also garner the attention of the Queen.
😀 I shouldn’t have teased you guys. It was going to be the pterosaur all along. I wanted to try something a little different than the usual dino mainstays.
It will be hard for them to sneak through the city unnoticed.
Somehow it’s even more amazing than if it were flying.
I really like how they walk. 🙂
I was speculating with some people on whether our mount would get skin or not. They said it would, and I said it wouldn’t and she’d ride around on an awesome skeleton beast.
Oh, look, awesome skeleton beast? Who called it? Yeah. Thought so.
I’d be flightless too if I was made of bones and ectoplasm. Aerodynamic, he is not.

Technically, you’re even more right than my depiction here. Based on how the “reviving” works (to be revealed later) it should be just animated bones, no ghost. Or, at least only Jane can see the ghosty outlines. But, cool wins over logic. 😀 Because dinosaur!
