Vol 3, Page 19 – Navigation & Naming
What the heck, Lewis? Don’t navigate your relationship into stormy weather. Cut that out!
Can’t wait for the next page?

Production Notes
This idea for a steampunk navigation system came up about a year ago, but at the time there wasn’t any place for it in the story.
It works by picking the scroll that intersects where you are and where you want to go, so it’d be limited to the most frequented destinations like home, work, store, and friends houses. The scrolled up punch-card then autopilots the flying machine like a player piano.
So a bookworm (insect) could send you on a merry chase about the area by a bit if strategic chewing? 🙂
I like the fact that you can see Lewis’ breath plume, and the dog’s, but not Jane’s–nice touch.
Dang, I didn’t think about the potential for sabotage. *evil grin* Punch a hole in the right place and the craft could fly right into a clock tower, or dunk it’s passengers in the icy lake.
Jorgenson. That’s my suggestion. You probably already have a name for the dog but I just want to see a pet named Jorgenson at some point in my life.
“Jorgenson” would have been a good alternate for “Gunther” on this page, but yes he does have a name that will be revealed at some point. I just call him Pup in the script.
