As if things weren’t already weird enough, right?
Jane is wearing the school uniform from the first page of this long story, when she found the cursed necklace.
Sorry that I haven’t been as active in comments on this site and other webcomics lately. Between having a nasty cold for the past month, busy work schedule, and the collapse of the US executive branch, I run out of spoons often. Most of my effort goes into getting these comic pages done.
Production Notes
Everyone laughs at the ancient cow shields, until it’s too late.
That thing getting used as a gag is the archer’s wrist guard.
Another interesting detail is that some of the fancy beaded necklaces didn’t hook in back like their modern equivalents. They had a counter weight hanging down behind, as seen in the first panel above.
Each page usually starts life as a clone of a previous page. This way all the paper textures, panel boxes, and file metadata are all ready to go. Lately I’ve been using the Lazy Nezumi Pro plug-in for Photoshop to smooth my lineart and use its handy perspective rulers for things like these zip line.
Your attention to detail remains impressive. Man, this page raises so many questions I don’t even know where to begin. I’m just going to keep mt speculating to myself this time, because there is zero chance I’m right about anything. 🙂
These next few scenes are so fun and twisty just thinking about them makes me grin. 😀
“They’re not not dolls, they’re action figures! With real leg-chopping action!”
Exactly! Sadly they’re no longer in mint condition.
I see what you did there
