Vol 3, Page 57 – Like a Vampire?
Process of panel #4:
Pencil and partial inks. These are done in a high-resolution smart object, which is shrunk down to fit the page.
Background finished. I processed a photo from a tomb and added a little embossing. Colors blend from from “flashback” green to the mud color of the tunnel.
Color flats added to the foreground.
Gradient overlay, cast shadows, and rim lighting added. The light beams are a Photoshop FX brushes added above the lineart.
Oh girls, girls, girls. Forgetting a spy in your midst, for shame. You need to attend Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing School if you’re going to keep playing this intelligencer game!
Puppy spies are deviously charming.
Yeah, let’s not get too comfortable around the Canadian infiltrator. Anubis keeps getting creepier and creepier…
I always love seeing your process, Andy! You do a lot of neat stuff to get that vintage feel to your pages.
Thank you. If a panel looks like it might be worth sharing it’s process I have to plan ahead to record it in stages. I’ll keep an eye out for new scenes that might be interesting.
Thanks huge for the process snapshots. They are really interesting and informative.
Another Massey. What are the odds?
100%, apparently.
Hey there!
Yes, by all means let us follow the miasmatic fetor….
I hope they’re not planning on sneaking up on anyone with all their ratchetjawin’. 😉
Sneaking appears to be a rare commodity with them. Jane doesn’t know how, and Dark Jane wouldn’t bother….
Feuter’s real good at playing the distraction game, isn’t he? I get the feeling they’re gonna forget just how much information they spilled to him by the end of this.
