Alpha bitch, so no he’s got it right. π Sire Alphas make their point and leave it at that…Bitch Alphas, uh they tend to just kill. I have a pair of dogs bred to deal with wolves with extreme prejudice, both girls get along. But if there is ever a fight? IF neither ends up dead I’ll have to keep them separated, they also hold grudges for life.
Charles Perrault is credited for writing the Little Red Riding Hood story about a little girl who, with her grandmother. was eaten by a wolf. In the I, Mummy version, by Andy Purviance, she is the human form of a werewolf who is also the werewolf pack leader. I was amused at Andy’s twist on the old story. π
In this story “The Pack” is something altogether different anyway. π
But…
The alpha wolf is a myth, or at best a misleading concept oversimplifying individual relationships. Even the scientist who coined the term in the 1970s has since regretted it.
David Mech explains, his studies of wild wolves have found that wolves live in families: two parents along with their younger cubs. Wolves do not have an innate sense of rank; they are not born leaders or born followers. The “alphas” are simply what we would call in any other social group “parents.” source
As a side note, thanks for remarking on the truth of pack dynamics. The idea of an alpha attracts us because that’s how WE and chimps work. A wolf pack is more like a Scottish clan than an English aristocracy:a big, loud family.
βThe half-life of truth is 45 years.β (source) Given that well over half of the science we learned in school will be proven wrong in our lifetimes what’s the point of even taking science classes? π
Or, we maybe we need to teach our kids twice as much science! Yeah.
You know, some times even I get tired of being right all the time. π
Also, little girl… You’re talking a big game of revealing secrets, while you’ve just led your freaking wolf pack into the middle of the street. In broad daylight.
RED RIDING HOOD OMG
Red Riding Hood as were-pack alpha? My, Monsieur Perrault seems have gotten a few details awry.
Kudos for creativity. ^^

If you’re tired of being so right I probably shouldn’t tell you why you’re right about her making not-so-smart decisions. So I won’t. π
