Well, she did side with the baddies. Though, to be fair, Jane could’ve given her a more steampunk arm
True, a more steampunk arm would be cool. But do you know how hard those are to draw? All that detail. In the shape of a hand! Hands are hard enough as is, thank you very much. 😀
It’s not much of a disguise, if everyone knows who you are….
That’s a great pose in Panel 1, there. Very Marvel-y. 🙂
I tried to avoid the more popular “superhero landing” (kneeling/punching on the ground) but given the sheer volume of costumed comics out there it’s all been done by someone. At least she didn’t do a belly flop. This time. 😀
The claw would impede a number of opportunities, yes.
It works pretty well for flipping the bird 😀
Tsk tsk, Jane. Don’t you know never to reveal your secret identity to your enemies? It’s Vigilante 101!
Nevertheless, that was a very badass and well-executed scene. Well done, Andy! You know how to keep a reader on his toes!
The only way to keep a secret between two people is if one of them is dead. Dun-dun-dun! But, if Jane is already undead then how would that work? Darn it. This superhero stuff is hard!
Haha, Wrenn (a bird) giving the bird to the girl dressed as a bird.
Lol, excellent! I didn’t catch that pun. Thanks.
Uh-oh. Are we about to meet her judgy, ambitious passenger again?
I just can’t get over how good that costume design is, man. I know I keep saying it, but damn…
Aww, shucks. You’re gonna give me a big head. And then I won’t be able to fit through the door and I’ll have to live at home forever and order delivery pizza.
All I can say about the next page is … you’re probably gonna love it. 😀
It does say some disturbing things about their society that Wrenn being an amputee is the reason she can’t get a good job. Or is she having trouble finding employment because she’s been labeled a traitor and she’s just looking for somebody to blame?
A little bit of all of the above. Wrenn sure didn’t make many true friends as Undersheriff. Jane alludes to a court trial that took place after the last story in which Wrenn was found not-guilty. A very unpopular outcome to be sure.
Plus, her “cursed” prosthetic moves and behaves like a real hand, which unnerves many good law abiding (rich) citizens. If Jane hadn’t caught up to her, Wrenn probably would have established a successful criminal organization.
Jane loves the hero stuff, even if so far her performance has been less than stellar. Let’s see if her possessed version can improve that.
Ummm… (¬‿¬)
