The boy casually picks the pocket of the man standing next to him, taking his wallet. The loud-speaker is talking about food being the soul of the people. The boy is glancing around slyly as he walks, and bumps right into Jane. Her arms are crossed as she glares down at him, blocking his path. JANE Hello again. BOY Smiles like greeting an old friend. Very smooth. Ah. Ha-ha… Miss Webb, was it? A bleeding-heart noble. What’er the odds? JANE Huh? BOY You, a democratic rabble rouser. Well, well. Palaver me with discommode. Here to annoy your parents? JANE No, I’m here because… ANNOUNCER ...is why we must cast off the tyranny of monarchy! Down with the Queen! One man. One vote! CROWD Fists raised in the air ONE MAN. ONE VOTE! JANE What the het?! GHOST Uh, oh.
I think that is her favourite part of the speech. I don’t know if the faceless god gave her instructions, but she will sure enjoy the kicks of” rousing rabble”.
She’s channeling the ghost of Patrick Henry and his “Give me liberty or give me death” speech.
This certainly explains her sudden knowledge. She is better in necromancy then in politic science.
Boy, this day has just been going ever so smoothly for her, hasn’t it?

Things might’ve been looking up, but now they’re heating up.
Dear Jane, finish this sentence:”(blank) is the better part of valor.”
“A really BIG gun is the better part of valor.”
A revolution in progress! I’m sure this will go smoothly and in no way end up with a new regime almost as bad or perhaps worse than the previous one.
The revolution will not be televised! Because TVs haven’t been invented. But, it will probably be projected on some type of camera obscura. Thanks for reading!
Quick, Jane, grab the little hoodlum in a painful grip and march him to safety. If you are accosted by the police, turning out his pockets should provide ample justification for tracking him there. 🙂
Not a good time to be stuck in the middle of a revolt!
The little tike seems to be pretty resourceful. Jane will have to outwit him. That cannot be good.
