Original Script
Lewis takes an old sheet, rips off a long strip, and holds it up. LEWIS Bandages. As Jane rips more of the sheet into strips. LEWIS I can show you to Simza’s curio shoppe in the Skells. Digging in a pile of dirty clothes. However, you need real clothes. Those posh threads will draw the wrong gaze. One of the kids whispers in Lewis’ ear. LEWIS All of it? Kid nods LEWIS That bastard! LEWIS Tosses an old dress at Jane Here. She pulls out her knife and leaves the hideout. I will be right back.
Yikes, that’s a scary expression! I wouldn’t want to be whoever crossed her, because somebody’s in for a world of pain.
Hehe, yes but … there’s always a twist. *knowing look*
I’m waiting for the explosion when Jane sees what Lewis considers “real clothes”. I’m assuming the body lice are optional?
“That color will never work with these bandages!”
I was very tempted to have Lewis rip up a floral sheet for the bandages, but the thought of drawing a flower pattern for the next 60+ pages killed that idea. And, no one takes floral mummies seriously.
I put Edison in a Hawaiian shirt once, and I got so sick of drawing pineapples…
It appears that somebody took more of something than Lewis thinks they should have. Will Lewis meet out the proper justice?
I have a bad feeling about this. Lewis is a character we all care for very much. My tragedy sense is tingling.
What?! I’d never let anything bad happen to my beloved characters! Only some kind of monster could let them get into trouble.
From rags to riches, and from not-bandaged to bandaged and again? Well, at least her world view is vastly expanding.
Rich rags to poor rags. I like that.
She’s a rag doll now.
🙂 Are you familiar with the 3D modeling term “rag doll physics”? Now all I can see is a flopping mummy figure with arms and legs flailing like windmills.
As Lewis will grow to old to disguise as boy anymore, I hope she’ll put on some fancy clothes and will grow an afro.
I guess if this were more realistic Lewis would have dreads, but since she likes to disguise herself as a boy short hair made more sense. Long hair on men doesn’t seem to be in vogue at this time in the mummy world.
